Save up to 46% in Monthly Land Fees - A Cheaper, Safe Way to Own Mainland!

with 2 comments

Land Tier Fees can really add up -Save up to 46% by renting tier from me!

So, what is tier rental anyway?

Tier Rental provides a far less expensive way to own mainland. Tier is like a tax you pay each month for owning land. LL charges you tier for owning land - I offer a cheaper alternative to paying full-price tier - it is completely safe and you maintain ownership of your land at all times. NOTE: Tier rental applies to Mainland only - this will not work if you own land on a Private Estate.

The bottom line is substantial savings for you!

The key advantages of leasing tier from me, versus paying LL are:

  • Rent exactly the amount of tier you need - There are big gaps in LL’s tier scale. If you own 1024m and want to add another 512m, you need to go to the 2048m tier level with LL. You can rent exactly 1,024 tier from me - so no wasted tier!
  • Flexible - Add or Remove Tier at anytime! We change with your needs, so you can add and remove tier any time. We’ll make sure that you get maximum value for your L$ - you never have unused tier or rental time on your account with us!
  • Rent week-to-week, cancel at any time - LL charges you for tier monthly and from the moment you acquire land. You can rent week-to-week with me and cancel at any time. You can even get a refund (conditions apply) for any tier you already paid for. Try getting a reund from LL!
  • Pay in-world and in L$ - We manage tier using rental boxes - pay the rental box using L$. No hassles! The rental box sends you IMs starting 3 days before your tier expires, to remind you to extned your lease. Nothing could be easier!
  • Hundreds of satisifed customers - I have been in business in SL since January 2006. I have hundreds of satisfied past and current customers, a number of which have been renting tier from me for a long time. My customers tell me that I am trustworthy and fair. I know you have choices in SL and appreciate your business by providing fast, courteous service.

Renting Tier

  1. Contact me in-world or by email (2fast4u.nabob [at] gmail [dot] com) to find out if tier is availalbe.
  2. When you have confirmation from me that tier is availalbe, create a group.
  3. Add a new role to the group - the new role should not have any abilities.
  4. Invite me to the group, in the new role. This ensures that I cannot even rez anything on your land (it also ensures that you have complete control of your land and can remove me from your group at any time).
  5. Pay tier rental to the rental box at the landmark that I give to you.
  6. Buy land using  “Buy for Group”, or deed your existing land to the group you created in step 2.

Pricing

Tier costs L$0.25 per meter, per week.

Or, per month, tier is L$1 per meter per month - this is an example since months vary in length.

You pay a rental box that I setup for us to manage the tier lease. Once you have made your first payment, I’ll donate the tier to your group so that you can use it for your land.

Digital Nirvana Expands

with 2 comments

I have added four new openspaces regions to Digital Nirvana.

Openspaces are low-prim regions that are, as the name implies, meant to be used as open space rather than for builds with lots of prims or a lot of people present at one time.

The open spaces are called Brane One, Brane Two, Brane Three, and Brane Four. I’ll leave it as an exercise for you to figure out the meaning of the word ‘Brane’ :)

The regions are in development now; however, the theme is based on natural spaces: trees, simple buildings, interesting landscapes, and of course - caves. Brane One, Two, and Three will have 2-3 occupants (tenants) each. The approach here is very different than the typical land rental. First, land size is going to be large - how large? One new guest is getting 16,000m2! (that is 1/4 of the region). Next - low prim. Each region supports up to 1875 prims - I ma reserving about 800 prims for common usage and the remaining 1000 for guests. Third - public access and usage. Anyone in SL will be able to use the regions for boating, flying and other activities. The regions will have a 30 minute autoreturn cycle and scripts are enabled.

Presenting Blindz - They really open and close!

without comments

Blindz, my latest product is now available on SLExchange and in-world. Here is the advertisement that appears in-world and on SLExchange.

Blindz, in short, is a set of window blinds and a controller. Most window blinds available in SL use a combination of texture and transparency to simulate a window blind’s open and closed appearance.

Blindz is different. Blindz is a*one prim* window blind that actually moves to open and close. When your window is covered, it is actually covered with a prim - not just covered with a texture. When the blind is open - it is actually out of the way - not transparent. As you may know - two or more transparent things close to each other in SL cause problems like flickering and the appearance of one item in front of another (when it should be reversed).

Blindz is also unique because it was designed with security in mind from the start. Most systems use one communications channel to communicate between the window blinds and the controller (to open and close the blinds from a single location).

Using a single controller makes it possible for someone to gain control of your blinds and open them when you want them closed. As a result, someone can invade your privacy, or just prevent you from enjoying your home or office.

Blindz uses a combination of a secret, changing message and channel hopping technology to make it very difficult to take control of your Blindz. The communication channel randomly changes at random, but frequent, intervals and changes the underlying messages. Even if someone manages to figure out what communications channel Blindz uses, it will change thus wasting the attacker’s efforts.

Blindz are also very easy to place and setup. Just place your Blindz in-world and use *menus* to rotate, size, and color your Blindz! Menu options include sizing (taller, shorter, wider and narrower), rotation (left, right), and color. You can also revert your Blindz to their initial size, color, and rotation using menu commands.

Don’t be fooled by others: only Blindz is secure, and easily customizable!
